AP Exams No Class?

<p>One quick question for anyone who may have an answer. This may be in the wrong forum, and it may have been answered before, but if so I cannot find where or when.</p>

<p>My school does not offer very many AP Classes.</p>

<p>The only class offered is AP World History, and that's it.</p>

<p>I am interested in AP Art History and AP Pyschology. Do you think that it is possible for me to self-teach myself through readings and online discussion groups, books, etc? Do you think that I would be able to then get a 4 or 5 on an AP Exam [My school would be able to get the exam if I paid for it]?</p>

<p>What courses would this work on? What courses would this not work on?</p>

<p>Any positive ideas would be nice. Please don't flame, I'm just looking for help here.</p>

<p>Even though you may not notice, but many many people take AP tests without the class. In my case, I took AP Biology without taking the class and did very well, considering that I did not have lab experience which was hard, but luckily this year's AP biology test was cake! I would suggest a course that is "readable" such as AP U.S. History or Ap European History. Sciences like chemistry and biology require lab knowledge and it may be a disadvantage to self teach.</p>
