Hey, I just got my senior schedule and AP World and AP French were conflicting, so can you guys recommend which class I should take. I have a higher interest in World than French, but I can do well in both classes. I'm really torn between the two. Can you guys help me out?

AP French. Language looks better and more colleges give credit.

It depends on if your college will accept credit for both. My school actually doesn’t let you skip out on your required language class, so World would’ve worked better for me. Also, AP World is simply INTERESTING and useful in a lot of areas where as French is more limited.

Like the above poster said, go with what you like. If you’re good enough to be in AP French, you’ll breeze through your language requirements. And even if you don’t get credit for AP World, it’ll help you get a more global view of education.

AP World hands down.

AP French results in credit at most colleges. 4 years of language is required at some colleges.

AP World is a fun course and I’m really glad I took it - take what you truly want to take, not what you think would look better, because at the end of the day, your decision isn’t going to make or break your college admissions (necessarily.)

Definitely AP French.
I took AP World History. It’s a fun class (i didnt really take much out of it…) but an AP language is better on a transcript
