Hi guys,
I got my school schedule today, and it is an absolute train wreck. The worst part for me was that I was supposed to be taking 6 ap classes+french 4, but there is a conflict between french 4 and ap art history. I love french, but I am also interested in art/art history, and I like that sort of thing. Here is how my schedule looks at the moment. I want to go into architecture btw.
- HR
- Business Econ
- AP Gov
- AP Stats
- Lunch-> AP Physics E&M independent study with teacher (full credit)
- AP Comp Sci
- Elective i dont know yet (dont ask :3)
- Year Gym
- French 4 Honors
- AP English 4
I’m really not sure what to do. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what schools like UPenn would rather see me do? I appreciate any feedback! Thanks!!
Also, I am a rising senior
Personally, I would take French 4. For Ivy Leagues, I would think four years of foreign language would be important. According to the College Data website for UPenn, four years of foreign language is recommended. I’m assuming that you took levels 1-3 of French your freshman, sophomore, and junior years of high school? Anyway, I would stick with French. I know that AP classes are important, but the rest of your schedule looks rigorous. You’re already taking 6 AP classes, so I think that is enough. Taking another year of French would put you at an advantage because most people stop taking foreign language classes after levels 2 and 3. I wouldn’t want to overdo myself by taking 7 AP classes, especially while preparing college applications and other college related stuff. This is just my opinion and what I would do, though.
I’m only taking 5 without Art History @LionKing2398 . I understand what you are saying. Thanks for responding!!!
