Did anyone else find discrepancies in their AP Gov score???

My friends and I all got perfect scores on practice exams an felt as if we got a 100% on the real test and we all got 3s. Trying to find out if we should order a rescore.

My friends and I all got perfect scores on practice exams an felt as if we got a 100% on the real test and we all got 3s. Trying to find out if we should order a rescore.

Your friends all go to the same HS?

AP US Gov? That exam has a VERY easy MC section. a score of 55-60/60 is representative of a 3. I would attempt the rescore if you believe your school will give you intro to gov credit for it.

I got 5s on all my practice tests and out of the 6 exams I took this year, gov was the one I was the most confident about. I got fives on other tests and a 3 on this one…

More than likely, your FRQ was lost.

I thought I got a 5, and at least a 4. But I ended up getting a 3 wth…

But trevor said in his twitter that around 25% of ap gov kids earned 0/9 points on EACH of the frq questions. So maybe we all did bad on the frq’s…but even then I think I should have gotten at least a 4

I got a 4 on U.S. Gov and I was nowhere close to getting perfects on practice tests. Thought I got a 5 on the actual test though. Ask for a rescore!

I got a 4 and I just studied the night before. This was the first time our teacher was teaching AP Gov and he did not prepare us at all for the exam. I am so mad about BC Calc though. I got a 3 even though math is my strongest subject. I even got an 800 on both SAT math and SAT II math level 2.

It’s around 8 of us from different high schools. We all go to DoD schools though, so we took the alternate.

The FRQ’s are up. You should be able to go back and see how you did. If you got a 4, don’t order a rescore. Rescores occur, most often, when CB loses either the MC or FR and your score is based only on that.

The alternate exam isn’t up. We all got 3s so I think a piece of our tests might be missing.

If I order a rescore will they look for the missing piece or…?

I finished the MC in 20minutes and thought it was the easiest exam ever, but I guess I got a 4.

DS thought it would be an easy 5 when he came out of the test. He has ended up scoring a 4. It does not matter too much since he is not planning on majoring in Political Science and has made National AP Scholar in spite of this 4. However, he is kind of disappointed. Although, he is estatic about the 5s on Calc BC and its AB subscore.

The MC of the exam is very very easy, and if you have taken any of the prior released exams and gone through the answers thoroughly MC should really only take 20-25 minutes.

I got a 5 in 2012, and had the same feeling. The FRQ’s were more ambiguous on this year’s exam i’ve noticed after looking over the FRQ’s. Many of the common answers (any congressional/presidental/bureaucratic powers, veto, social status etc.) that would be given credit for on a FRQ really weren’t there on this years FRQ.

The exam is really quite easy, which leads me to believe the curve is high to only allow 10-12% 5’s.

Am I the only person that gets PO’d when people say “AP Gov” when referring to US Gov?

Like, THERE’S ANOTHER GOV TEST. Comp Gov is better anyway.

I looked at last year’s scores and thought that 2013’s FR were actually easier, but to each his own. I got 48/60 on the MC on both of the practice tests I took and I think I did about the same on this year’s. I felt very confident on the FR. I ended up with a 5, which is what I expected.
