How hard was AP/IB Biology 1. I have signed up for IB Biology 1 and I was wondering was it easy for you guys to manage EC's and other classes with AP or IB Biology 1.

Joining with a question above: do you actually have to dissect any living things?
Idea of digging into dead cats for two years doesn't really amuse me :(

Like countless posters before me, AP bio is the easiest test I've take to take period, no thinking involved at all, it's just bubble in the only answer that doesn't sound like a dog made it up and then spout random facts for about 4 pages.

AP Bio was definitely one of the easiest classes I've taken. And yes, we did dissect--a lot. We spent three weeks doing a very detailed dissection of a fetal pig, sheep brains/heart/uterus, and...basically every other animal phyla you study. I can't speak for IB, though, since my school doesn't offer those.

IB bio at my school is kinda hard but the average ib higher level exam score is also a 6 and the ap is a 5...so it explains that. 2 people out of the total 56 got an A in the class and i was one of them. we disected a liver, pig, cat, cow eye, rabbit, and a small shark. basically we disected one animal for every unit we covered. I'm taking ib bio (second year) next year.

At my school, AP and IB were combined, so the course title was like "AP/IB Biology." So I assume they cover pretty much same stuffs with little differences.

AP Bio exam was pretty easy, although I got a 4 on it, which kinda made me wonder. But the class sucked, because my teacher didn't really teach anything.
