What's the difference between them?

One is Language other is Literature?

lol...but really...

I hear Language is ridiculously easy, and Literature is doable.

i heard the opposite.

i guess i should explain. Literature is considered the higher level exam because it includes poetry while Language does not. My teacher says that Literature is more teachable while Language relies more or less on natural writing ability. There are two prose analysis essays and one persuasive essay on Language while on Literaure, there is one poetry, one prose, and one character analysis essay.

If you're talking about AP English Language vs. English Literature, the difference is that AP Language focuses on rhetorical devices in non-fiction persuasive writing, with some literary elements, while AP Literature focuses on the stylistic and literary elements in fictions. One analyzes the usage and the effectiveness of Language elements on rhetoric (ethos, pathos, logos), while the other is more like a regular Literature class.

The consensus at my school is that AP Literature is slightly harder than AP Language.

If you're talking about foreign language, the I would suppose Language is easier than Literature. =D
