Do they ever take out FRQ questions or at least parts of it for AP tests like they do for Multiple choice questions?
I was not expecting that 2nd free response question at all! (Is there a chance they’ll have a lower threshold for a 5 if everyone did badly?) I was so confused by what they meant by “over time” because we never did anything like that in class, it wasn’t in the textbook or review materials I used, and I still don’t know how to do it?! (Does anyone here know?) I think this question has the potential to make the difference between a 4 and a 5 for a lot of people.
Multiple choice was a joke imo - 1st + 3rd FRQ were fine, but WTF was the 2nd FRQ?? Honestly, that is the worst worded FRQ I’ve ever seen - I literally stared at the questions for 20 minutes but still was unable to determine what they were trying to ask…
i thought the MC was a lot harder than practice tests i had taken
the frq were a little tricky but they were fine
Is there any way we could contact the college board or a complaint regarding this question? I did make a complaint of my actual frq saying how bad the wording was, but it doesn’t seem like enough. I completely understand required reserves and every other concept tested by assets and liabilities in banks, and this frq’a wording completely undermined my understanding with wording that was completely ambiguous.
@Anubis13 There’s this link: https://www.collegeboard.org/contact-us/send-message
I want to send a message, but I’m personally going to wait until the FRQs are released in a couple of days. I’m paranoid that just saying the FRQ was poorly worded will somehow go against exam security lol
Personally, It made sense to me. Yes this a somewhat cocky comment. I had to look at it a couple times, but it was like any other problem we had done earlier with change in demand deposits etc. I’m just nervous for micro. RIP me. :O)
Yea the 2nd frq was so confusing, can’t believe CB actually released that. But the 3rd one was super easy to make for it lol
Oh man I think I messed up the 1st FRQ 8-| . Can’t belive how many mistakes I made, having Lang and then running to Econ was not good for me LOL
Yes, but it’s very rare. I remember they did this 2 years ago with the Chem exam.
Studying Micro now… and yes that 2nd FRQ was awful. Seemed so simple at first then the vague wording threw me off
I aced the macroeconomics MC, Pretty sure I maxed out the first and third frq, but probably missed half of the 2nd frq.
I’m expecting a 4 or at least a 3 for Macro, but Micro…oh man. I’ll be lucky if I get a 3. I have to cram all day tomorrow or else I’m absolutely screwed.
It’s funny, I thought that the 3rd frq was confusing and the 2nd question was much easier even though it was confusing. I did take macro last semester though.
Everyone seems to think that the MC was fairly easy, and I would have to agree. I am not surprised because if you look here, http://www.totalregistration.net/AP-Exam-Registration-Service/2015-AP-Exam-Score-Distributions.php , there was an increase in 1s which means they were trying to make it less difficult than last year. Micro should be harder this year compared to last year since there was a great increase in 5s in 2015.
I accidentally did the foreign exchange graph using $/Yen instead of yen/$ so that my entire graph was backwards and it looked like supply of yen was shifting while demand was staying still. Fml
@neptuna thanks, I didn’t know we could do that. On AP chemistry, there was a huge mistake(maybe it was intended to be a trick question?) so I’m gonna go report that, yolo
@nac7890 wait, i’m pretty sure the Forex graph was supposed to have $/Yen on the y axis?
@nac7890 I got confused, so I just drew two graphs showing respective appreciation/depreciation, one with $/Yen and one with Yen/$. It can’t hurt, right? They’re not going to penalize me for showing what happens in the other nation in addition to whatever it was they were asking for–at least I think. I hope. Oh god.
Guys are we allowed to discuss the FRQ answers yet?
