does anybody know the difference between them?
all i know is that AP is so much more expensive to take than CLEP in Asia
i self studied 5 APs and planned to take some advantage of either;

any suggestions?
which will be better, regarding to college credits

AP is looked upon as a rigorous program and credit is granted for a majors-level course. CLEP is designed for "non-traditional" students to show what they've learned out in the world (for example, in the military) and is used to grant credit for a non-majors course. The difference in the cost involves the grading of the essay section on the AP. The CLEP is all multiple-choice.

so are international students recommendated to take CLEP, if i want to double major, or to do exchange student, am i recommendated to take CLEP over APs?
do you also mean that Clep is easier than AP?
and if the college accepts the scores, why does it make a difference?

CLEP will not earn credit for you in your major field. So, for example, if you are majoring in biology and something else, passing the CLEP biology exam won't help. You'll need to take the AP biology exam to get credit for a biology majors course.

If, however, you are majoring in history and english, the CLEP can get you a science credit towards your graduation requirement.

thank you
are there other alternatives to earn credits except from AP and CLEP
do the colleges usually give an entrance test or some kind
what do you recommend if i want to do a double major/or finish school early
