Retake?

So I'm a rising junior and I received a 4 on the AP Physics C: Mechanics exam (self-study). To say the least, my parents aren't pleased and want me to retake. So would a 4 on the AP Physics C exam (self-study) warrant a retake for an Asian male looking into HYPSM?

Thanks for your help!

Eh. Seems like a whole lot of work for nothing.

I mean, an inital 2 or 3 would definitely be warranted. But a 4?

If you do end up at HYPSM, they most likely won’t give credit for a 4 (or even a 5 at some) for AP Physics C. Many want you to retake the course either way. So think more about whether or not it would help you get in, not necessarily get you credit.

Well, I definitely do not want to skip out of any Physics classes in college as I self-studied and my base isn’t exactly perfect. I was wondering how much the 4 would hurt my chances and if it was worth a retake.

honestly, I wouldn’t worry about the 4. I think it’s good. You may not get credit, but that’s why you look into the school you want to go to and base it more off of that.

Parents mad about a 4 on Physics C…LOL

…sounds like Asian parents to me

Haha yeah…
Thanks for the advice, but would it hurt me as far as admissions are concerned? Should I cancel?

bump 10 char

No…it would actually help you

Really? I was under the misconception that 4’s were viewed in bad light.
