Took US History exam got a 3 needed a 5 for credit. should i retake?

Do you have to pay full-price for the exam? Are you(or your parents) willing to pay $80? Did you study frantically for that 3 or did you put minimal effort into preparing? It really depends on you. If you think you can get a 5, then go for it. Don't overwhelm yourself though. It's not the end of the world if, God forbid, you get a 3 on an AP exam.

Yea, as cryptic said, if u have the time to spare, the cash to waste, and the will to study more history, retake it. Do it. If ur not too confident, then best just do sumthing else.

now there is more to the story, i didn't put a college down on the AP answer sheet. my state school will wave my history 101 AND 102 with the 3. but my #1 choice says i need a five.

I wouldn't retake it. To get from a 3 to a 5 is drastic, but not impossible. As everyone else here said, are you willing to study history on the side, and have your eyes set upon a 5? Like I said though, it isn't impossible.
