I felt very prepared and confident that I could score a 5 on the ap world exam. I had a strong A throughout the whole year, and prepared for the exam thoroughly. I got a 4, which I am happy with, but I really believed I would get a 5. I felt like I got all of the free response correct, and I know I had to have gotten at least half of the MC right. Should I request a rescore? All I would be losing is the $30, and I don’t possibly think my score can go down.
A score of 4 is a good score. Many colleges will not even give you credit for AP World History so you might want to check any schools of interest and their AP credit policy before spending the $30 for a rescore.
I would just move on…
Similar thing happened to me, expected a 4/5 for apush and got a 3. Most schools that offer ap credit would award it for a 4 anyway, so it’s pointless. I wont be rescoring since I wanted to take us history again anyway.
Rescoring rarely, if ever, results in a higher score. I’d just let sleeping dogs lie.
