does getting an AP Scholar Award have any benefits if we already got into college? i'm a senior..i got one last year but i might've i bombed calc ab today, would it be worth it to cancel my score so i can retain the AP scholar award?

Not really. Unless your college gives a scholarship for it, there’s no advantage of having one as a senior.

i’m wondering about this too but i’m a junior…i totally screwed up calc bc today and might have scored lower than a 4. of course, ap scholar for 8 exams must be all over 4 so i dont know if i should cancel just for that… will it decrease admittance chances? especially for hyps?

if you’re a junior, don’t cancel it. not having ap scholar won’t “hurt” you, but getting ap scholar will definitely be an advantage. If I remember correctly, only around 600 something juniors are national ap scholars each year.

Uh, but eight APs is quite a lot to have by Junior Year. What are the stats for, say, AP Scholar with Distinction (at least 5 APs with at least a score of 3)?

I forgot what it’s called, but are you shooting for the status above Scholar? It’s like 10 or something APs, heh.
