<p>they're really a shorthand for advanced levels of performance on AP tests. They don't tell colleges anything that they can't tell from your AP scores. So the awards themselves are irrelevant, but what they signify can be important.</p>
<p>Definitely worth putting on the App, it shows that you have acceled on your AP tests, although as Mr. Pink said, this can also be seen by your self-reported scores.</p>
<p>Not worth putting on an application except in certain circumstances such as a) you have nothing else better to list; b) getting the award that only a few get at the state level or something like that; or perhaps, c) you get the higest mass produced honor very early on in your HS career.</p>
<p>Otherwise... it's kind of self-evident on your score report.</p>
