AP Score of 4

Hmm,
Of all 5's on other 4 AP exams, how much does the one score of 4 rather than of 5 impact the admissions? I feel like APES is crappy exam.

If you got 5’s on four other AP exams, any exams beyond that shouldn’t have any effect on admissions (although exactly what score you got may affect credit and/or your ability to skip intro courses). Since you already have several 5’s, you probably shouldn’t even bother to report the 4 (although you may be required to report it, depending on which colleges will see the application).

I think you should definitely report the 4, seeing as it’s not really bad at all! Sure, I see my 4s (darn history tests) as bad scores, but I also realize that my standards are much higher than the average AP tester and the average (or even elite) college. I think it’s foolish not to report scores at all, especially if the scores are good enough to get credit, because you won’t get any credit for them if you don’t report them. And what is the point of paying to take the test if it’s not going to save you time and money in college? I reported all of my scores and Hopkins and Carnegie Mellon didn’t seem to think they were failures!

The problem with CC is that everyone here is so darn elitist and, frankly, nuts! People have a skewed perception of reality. In reality, a 4 is a good score and it’s foolish to think otherwise.
