You have to request that scores be sent to the colleges (and pay for it). The scores are grouped by "report" meaning all the tests taken during the same semester. There has been some discussion in the news lately about how colleges want to see you take the AP exams and don't value the class as much without a exam grade. Personally, I don't think they care that much. It may depend on the college, but schools in the Washington U. class didn't request that the scores be sent. I think most of the emphasis is on difficulty of curriculum, gpa/rank, and SAT scores. I don't think a 3 would hurt you at all except as a lost opportunity to get a 5. If you don't take a test, I'm sure that it just doesn't show up on the score report. Relax more.

The SAT II's are more important. It is Emory's stated policy not to use a SAT II score unless it helps you.

wait it seems as if u are worried about being rescinded hinting that you have already been accepted, if this is true then i am pretty cofident in saying it will not hurt. yet if u are one who plans to apply to emory in the future although the test is not pivotla id say it would certainly help to take and do well ono`

no one cares about AP scores. colleges dont accept you based on them, they wont reject you based on them and they certainly wont take away an acceptance based on them. i always thought APs were the biggest joke.

i got a 2 on spanish lit and a 3 on spanish lang. im still here. i also graduated hs with a c- in orgo and a c in english giving me around a low 3 GPA, im still here.

to get rescinded you have to like plaguerize or get arrested or something. my friend even got kicked out of boarding for drinking and BC didnt rescind his acceptance. plus hes not smart at all; no one knows how he even got in in the first place.

i spent the entire summer waiting for my rescinded acceptance letter bc of my gpa. dont worry. it's stupid too. the absolute worst that will happen, if you get a low gpa 2nd semester is youll start college on academic probation.

oops, sorry for the confusion. I AM already accepted to Emory and planning to go there this fall.. I am not planning to receive any credit anyways (even tho i get a 5) but i was wondering if i don't write an exam, bio this case, is there any chance that my acceptance will be canceled? coz i'm pretty sure i won't get anything higher than a 2 or 3.

Don't worry. You aren't required to take the exam, and you aren't required to have the scores reported. (You initiate having the scores reported by giving money to the college board, and specifying what colleges you want them to go to.) Even if you got a 1 and had the scores reported, that isn't enough to have your acceptance revoked.

I believe that you could take the exam and then have the score cancelled if you call the college board immediately afterwards. That way, you could see how you felt you did, and then cancel if you don't think it went well.

nice:) thank you!! senior year's been a total slack off..
