Well, as everyone knows, we register for many classes during our NSC, but the thing troubling me is will I still be able to change my classes once my AP test scores come in? I'm 100% confident I've aced and will ace all my tests this year (no cockiness :D), so I'd definitely like to test out of some of the core classes for my major.

Also, will all the good time-slots be taken up? I'm worried by July test-score reports in that I'll get a really frustrating schedule if I do end up crediting/testing out of required freshman classes and take up new classes.

Any input from someone who has received credit and chosen new classes?

Gah, I’m wondering this too.
But good thing I signed up for July 9th.
AP scores should be sent there by that time, right?

Yeah but you can’t guarantee they’ve been processed seeing as thousands of AP scores will be coming in at once.

July 9th, nice! I’m doing June 23rd/24th >:(

Lol. I know…

Hoping they have the scores by then, which they should since many other colleges receive them by July 1st.

Our daughter was in this same spot last year. She called College Board and received her scores by phone before her NSC. Scores for the 2009 AP tests will be available July 3, and the cost is $8 per call. Here’s the link to the College Board website for AP Grade Reporting Services:

Good luck!

I have the June 11th-12th NSC… and i am taking 5 AP exams this time around so I am wondering about the same thing.

I don’t go to A&M yet so I’m not 100% positive but I’m pretty sure this is true based on the registration process at my college:

You should be able to change your classes right up until the classes start (although by then a lot will be full obviously). I assume the NSC is just to help you through the process of registering for classes the first time; nothing is finalized. They will probably just give you a degree plan and talk you through what classes you need to take for your major.

If you are worried about it I would call A&M and ask.

Dang. I register July 2nd. As to classes, I’ve been told that they reserve so many for each conference. (How the heck did you get a June one? We registered within 2 hours of registration opening and July 1st was earliest we could get)

What I did when I was in this situation with my AP Calculus scores, is I registered for the class that I thought I would be taking if I scored a 5 on my test (as I thought that’s what I scored). If you get your scores back, and they are not as you predicted, then you can always call or email a counselor and tell them to change you out of one class and into another.

Thanks gstein!

that is probably what I will do!
