So I just realized that D's NSC is the end of June, but she won't have AP scores until July. Anybody know if they will make her register for classes that she might not have to take?

the advisor will help her with her first registration at NSC. If she is fairly sure she did well enough on the AP test to get the credit, her advisor might not register her for that class. However, it might be easier to register for the class now and then change her schedule when the AP scores come out. It is something the advisors deal with all the time when registering freshmen students.

I talked to someone about that on my visit a few weeks ago, and she said to sign up expecting that you did well enough on the AP exams. If you didn’t, you can always change it later or just take the class 2nd semester.

or just take those classes over summer at community college if you don’t get the credit. Especially if the classes play no influence on your major. For example, if you are going into engineering then history is not as relevant of a class as say physics, therefore I would take it at comm. college instead to save my parents money and not screw around with the major curriculum.

Thanks, everyone!
