AP scores cancellation after June 16

I took 7 AP exams this year, but after taking the eng language and composition exam and music theory exam, I thought i did pretty badly so i asked my counselor whether i should cancel these two scores...my counselor told me that i should wait to see the scores, and if i'm not satisfied with the scores, i can still cancel (so that colleges dont see these two scores).. i'm an almost senior, and i just wanted to know whether i still can cancel only 2 scores out of 7 NOW so that my colleges dont receive these 2 scores in fall.

Wait, you already sent your AP exam scores over to colleges before you are a senior? There is really no need to do this because you can self report and they don’t expect you to send them until after you enroll.

Anyways, from my personal experience, colleges actually got my AP scores a few days before I did, for credit placing purposes. I really hope you didn’t already send it to them, but if you did, it’s fine because not alot of weight for them are played in the admittance process, especially if you did well on 5 other tets

thanks. tho i havent sent my scores to colleges yet, and i didnt fill in any college codes on my answer sheet, so I guess now i can still cancel any exam i want to, right?

I dunno, but honestly you don’t need to. Just self report the ones you want to self report on the Common Application. Then, you only send your actual AP scores after admission anyway. That is what most colleges expect you to do. If you have already seen the results, you can’t “cancel” them per se.

You cannot cancel a score after its been released. Use self reporting on common app to report the scores you wish.

But if I did not fill out any college codes on my answer sheet, shouldnt i be able to cancel at all times according to collegeboard?

“Canceling your AP Exam score permanently deletes it — it cannot be reinstated at a later time. Scores may be canceled at any time. However, for scores not to be sent to the college indicated on your 2014 AP answer sheet, AP Services must receive your request by June 16, 2014. Complete the AP Score Cancellation Form (.pdf/520KB), and mail or fax it to AP Services. Once you request a cancellation, the exam will not be scored, and a score for that exam will never be available. (Archived scores cannot be canceled.) While there is no fee for this service, your exam fee is not refunded.”
