I know there has been many threads talking about canceling scores and I've looked at various but none really answer my question.
So for example you take an AP physics test and you get a 3 the first time but you want to take it again next year to get your 5 would it show on your score report that you took it twice or would it just replace the score and once it replaces are you still eligible for the awards?
Am I better of retaking an exam next year or canceling the score?

bump I need help please

In terms of eligibility for awards, it says they only use one score, the highest, for any particular exam. Also, you should be aware these awards are not such a big deal that you need to worry about getting them, unless you can manage to snag the state AP scholar, which is a real distinction.

Your score report will show you took it twice unless you pay to withhold a score when you send it, or unless you permanently delete the score. It needs to be deleted enough in advance to not appear in that year’s score report, before 6/15. I personally wouldn’t delete it until you actually achieve the higher score. You might not get it, and end up at a university where the 3 gives you some credit.

I don’t know how old you are, but you don’t typically send actual score reports to universities until you commit to a college near end of senior year. You self report AP scores on your apps. So that low score in college board’s records doesn’t matter much. It’s the SAT subject test scores which matter most during application time.
