I am a senior who has recently submitted an application via the Common App.

I did not self-report my AP scores (I did not know I could at that time), but I sent my official scores to the college I was applying.

Will this compensate for not listing the AP scores on Common App? (I heard that colleges consider you got lower than 3 on AP exams if you do not self report).

No impact except ypu had to pay for sending scores when it was not necessary. AP scores are not required but if you want to provide you can put them on the app, do what you did and send official scores, or just send a letter to the college admission office for your file that provides the scores or atasched a copy of your scores. As long as they are proovided in some fashion, that you left them off the app means nothing.,

The adcom may or may not see your AP score even you submitted the official report as it is usually delivered to the registrar office. After all, AP scores have very little impact in admission for most schools.

I agree - they may not look for the official AP reports since most students do not send them until they make an acceptance at a single school to which they are enrolling. I would edit your Common App, add them in, and then use that new App to send to all future colleges to which you are applying,
