I got mine in the mail yesterday. I only took one test because the other ap classes I took don't count for credit at Stanford even if I did pass. Anyawys, ap calc ab- 5

Ah, I know the feeling! I also took AB calc, though I could have taken lit, language, latin (okay, I'd have never tried since I'd have gotten a 1-2; we learned nothing), and psych. My teachers were rather mad. Right, the point: Where do they mail the scores from: I should think I would get mine first, being on the East Coast....

Actually no, there's a AP scores thread over on the test forum and people in California were the first to get scores (on Saturday). Judging from last year's thread east coasters might have to wait up to a week. I'm hoping tomorrow or Wednesday. Finally, living in the midwest comes in handy!

Yeah, I skipped the English lit test because it wouldn't count. I'm also bummed that the tests I took last year won't count.

That's insane! Not as bad as waiting for college admissions, but shame on collegeboard.

i waited it out and didn't pay 8 bucks. hahaha so what if i've already paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars to collegeboard already? it's nice to win a little battle, even if you already lost the war :P

anyway, pleasantly surprised...only took physics cuz that's all i would've gotten credit for:

physics c mechanics: 5
physics c e&m: 4

good job everyone!

I called Stanford to see if they had AP scores and would give them to me. I figured they were in Cal and should have gotten the scores by now. But no, apparently the AP scores haven't been entered yet and won't be for some time. Sigh.

No scores in the mail in Missouri yet, but I called my high school and they gave me my scores:

Chemistry, Physics C Mechanics, Physics C E&M, World History, Psychology, Environmental Science, Macroecon, Microecon, English Literature: all 5s

Spanish Language: 3 (sigh...)

plus 5s on Calc BC, Computer Sci A, Statistics, Biology, US History, US Govt & Politics from 10th and 11th grade...

...looks like I'm gonna have to take that Spanish placement exam... :-(

Wow, firebird12637, that is a lot of AP classes! You'll already be a sophomore when you get to Stanford :)

My scores came today---I got 5's on Macroeconomics, Calc AB, Psychology, and 4 on French Language, which I was really really worried I'd gotten a 2 on so I am super satisified!

any east coasters get theres yet?

I got mine yesterday (7/15) in Nebraska. Fives on Calc BC and French language. I was worried about the French because I had to self study and no one at my school has ever even passed it before. It's not a small school, it has ~1600 people, it's just not very good about offering AP classes. We have a grand total of six AP classes and only one, Calculus, is accepted by Stanford.

hahaha senioritis destroyed me. leaving entire questions out didnt help the cause lol.
eco - 2
physics b - 1
government - 3
psychology - 3
calculus AB - 3
English - 4

and you got into stanford stanmaster?

what is that supposed to mean?? i didnt try on the tests and i got the grades i deserved. what does that have to do with me getting in or not??

why wouldnt you try?

because i didnt get credit for any of them except calc but i was never going to take calc again in college anyway so there was no point. it was my choice and i dont see why you are making it a big deal. who cares?

Stannie, you should've taken the two or three you cared about and gotten refunds for the rest of them!

If i was in the same situation as stanmaster, i'd do exactly the same. theres no point in trying for the tests if they dont really count for anything. however, i woulda did what paul said and not taken the tests unless your classes required you to take it

my school forces me to take every ap test for every ap class we took so i had no choice. it was such a waste of money and i hate my school for making me take them

i know where your coming from stan...i actually did pretty well on my ap scores but if i had really put in the effort i could have pulled one or two up a score. but they don't count for anything and we had to sign up for the tests before acceptance letters came in so i couldn't duck out. plus, my english teacher was crazy and gave us so much work around that time that i had no energy to study for the tests.

i sincerely hope 4feynman was kidding around...

sooo...i might as well post too because i'm bored...

calc bc: 5 (totally shocked and pleased, didn't understand series and bombed the free response, so this was very nice)
us gov't: 4
eng: 4
physics b: 3 (well, i was shocked to get a three because i didn't answer half the questions, but looking back if i had really studied hard i might have gotten a four and gotten credit. i was just too tired)
stat: 5 (only one i was really expecting)

so there's mine, with way too many comments. funny thing is i consider myself much more of a humanities person and i got fives on math...haha, oh well. you never know, right...

okay, this is a rambling post. anyways, i support you stan!!! :)

Ouch man that sucks. But I know how you feel. My school forced me to take all the IB exams even though none of them counted for anything at Stanford.
