AP Self Study Tests

How's it going mates,

Something that's seriously been on my mind as of the recent school year is taking and self studying for AP tests without taking the classes for them persay.

What I mean to say is, is it worth it? Should I be using my time studying 3 extra subjects just to take the test in May? And even if I did, would that help my University chances at all, as in, would it look better on my resume? (more the getting in part, i know about the college credit policies and what not)

I'm referring to AP Physics C (both), Ap Calc BC (already have most of Calculus down), and AP Comp Sci.

And also should I more be focusing efforts on SAT subject tests/ the SAT itself more instead?
Sorry, I'm just really all over the place about this stuff.

TO give a sense of perspective, I'm a Full IB Diploma Junior with school schedule:

IB Art SL
IB Chemistry (HL starts Senior year)
Sociology / (AP Psychology 2nd semester)
AP Government / (TOK 2nd semester)
IB History of the Americas HL
IB Math HL
IB French SL
IB English HL

Since you are doing the IB program, I don’t see it adding anything. I’d focus on doing well on your SAT’s. There is a SAT-preparation section with systematic study tips in a couple of pinned threads at the top. There is also an AP Test Prep subforum you might want to read for more insight.
