hi everyone. scores are coming out and for those who got fives and fours can you please advise me as to what books are the best for ap evironmental science and ap spanish language. for environmental science i searched threads and found that smartypants and REA were the best, but if someone can buy only one which one would you recommend? and what book for ap spanish? thanks a lot.

I got a four self-studying for AP Spanish Language with Barron's (non-native speaker). For the most part I liked it, the vocabulary sections were great and very useful and I liked the CDs a lot; Princeton's didn't have any and since speaking and listening are huge parts of the tests it was really pretty necessary. Two complaints: a focus on complex and arcane grammar that isn't really necessary for the test, as there are only two fill-in-the-blank sections, and a mistake in their advising for the speaking section (they said you would be able to pre-listen to the conversation on CD and you weren't allowed to).

For the environmental science AP I had a REA testprep book...I don't know my score yet, but I don't really think it was really helpful. Mine came w/ practice tests on a CD and those tests did nothing to prep me for the real thing. Plus the diagrams in the book are kinda lacking, imo. Maybe look into the Princeton Review one (I haven't heard anything negative about it).

I too am looking for a ES prep book. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely go for the newest edition of Barron's for AP Spanish. Comes with CDs and everything.

For Env Sci use SmartyPants.

Barrons for AP Spanish.
