As you can see, I fail at listening and speaking. :)

It was definitely better than the practice tests we’ve done in class though.

The listenings without the questions printed were the most unclear things ever! The ones iwth the questions were much easier.

I thought they were pretty clear if you read the answer choices beforehand and listened very, very carefully. And you could eliminate choices for all of the questions.

Absolutely. Which preparation book did you use?

^ The book we used in class was called Triangulo. Weirdest topics ever for audios

Guys! If I did very well on all of the free response, how many muliple choice do I need to get a 4???

Estoy muy nervioso :(

pokm12, those cutoffs are from this site. Lol.

Keep in mind that if everyone did horribly, then there will still be 5’s.

i wish i had a better background in speaking and more oppurtunities to do so(it feels awkward speaking spanish outside of class) but writing is my strongest and im hoping it’ll help my cause for a 4 haha.

did your teachers conduct class in ONLY spanish the entire year? mine did and i found it helpful. my reading comprehension/writing improved the most by taking ap spanish. im hoping to study abroad in college in spain to imrove speaking b/c i really enjoy spanish

My teacher conducted the class in Spanish, unless there was, say, a fire drill or something.

I didn’t really understand anything she said in the first few weeks of school, but it did grow to be really helpful.

I can’t believe the Presentational Writing was on music. It was the perfect topic to BS! =D

yea i thought, and my class definitely agreed, that the presentational speaking was hardest…speakers were good for the most part but for some reason that audio sounded static-y and the person talked very fast…

1- interpersonal writing
2-reading (except that bizarre 1st story)
3- Listening w/questions
4- Listening without questions
5- Presentational writing
6- Simulated conversation
7- presentational conversation

Why has everyone been saying that the interpersonal speaking was so difficult? I thought it was an easy topic and the speaker was easy to understand!

Also, has anyone else found it much easier to understand female spanish speakers than male?

The dull, near-monotone male voices bored me to death; I nearly tuned them out during several portions of the exam. In my humble opinion, they need to pick better male speakers.

Sexier voices would be a good way to start. ;)

Haha wow…just wow…

At least theres still hope if i did poorly… I know someone who got a solid 1 and still got maximum hours in a placement test at OSU.

The presentational speaking prompt was pretty much the worst possible. You can’t exactly BS someone’s life…how miserable. The whole exam went pretty well though, I think.

^ agreed

Really? I won’t go into specifics here, but I will say that I found it far easier to compare specific aspects of their lives since there were several salient parallels than to B.S. them. Besides, if you used the sources as your springboards to formulate your admittedly short speech (I shall take a gander here and guess that you did :)), then it wouldn’t have been all that bad.

I’m so ****ed right now and here’s why. For the speaking portion, the test proctor at my school divided the group taking the exam into 2 sections. I was in the second section. The first section had to go to the school’s theater to do the speaking because in the gym the audio sounded crappy. The proctor had some trouble setting up the tape so it could play so there was a delay.

So it took us ALMOST 6 HOURS to finish what is supposed to be a 4 hour test. People taking AP Stats had to go somewhere else to take their exam. I’m so mad right now because the long wait ruined my concentration. I’m only expecting to get a 3 although if I do get a 2 or a 1, I’m blaming the test proctor’s incompetence to set up the tape right.

Now, on to setting my AP Spanish prep book on fire! jk

our smart proctor decided to put the little tiny speaker by the wall so that we can all hear the vibrations and fail the exam =]

anyone know the percentage we need to get a 5?

@ ksarmand

Yeah, I suppose the comparisons weren’t too bad and such, it was just catching enough information from the audio source to make up a response. I’m normally really good at these when we do generalized topics that can be easily BS’d, but the important thing is that
AP SPANISH IS OVER!

^Beautiful formatting.

To add my own $.02,

HOORAY!

I’m actually shocked at how I performed on the exam today, since normally I can scarcely take notes from audio selections. However, with the accents so easy to comprehend (they were always absurdly difficult before), I managed to scribble down quite a bit of information. 'Twas my lucky day, I guess.

Now if only it would last for Calc.
