AP Statistcs as a sophomore

For those of you who have or are taking AP statistics,

I am currently a freshman who just signed up into AP stats without knowing what I just got myself into. So far, I am a straight A student who does XC and track and likes to hang out with friends a lot. I usually have about 3-5 hours of “work” time set aside for doing homework and working on projects and as of now only use 2-3 hours of it. The other classes I plan to take with AP stats are: English 2, AP world history, human body systems, pre-AP Chem, algebra 2 honors, and intro to business. For my questions: How necessarily hard is the class (explain what a usual unit would compose of) and what is your opinon on the class. What are some of the prerequisites to this class and if so, will I have to learn some of that material before the class begins. Finally, will I be able to handle this class with the schedule I have as of now. Thank you for reading this and if you have any questions, be sure to ask!

Sincerely,

HealthyJuiceBox

Should be easy enough. Some of my less qualified friends are doing easy A’s in it.

I would only choose one of “Human Body systems” and “Intro to Business”, which are both electives, and replace it with a core (foreign language). You need to have a foreign language at level 2, 3 or 4 (level 3, 4, or AP would be expected by senior year for selective universities).
AP Stats is generally seen as one of the easiest AP’s. Note you won’t get college credit for it because it’s lighter than a freshman stats class but it’ll provide you with some background if you take the class in college.

Don’t worry about AP Stats, it is definitely one of the easier aps. The pass rate for the AP exam is also pretty good
