AP Statistics

Is it worth it self-studying?

Basically, is it worth teh $86? As far as I know, I don't have to take Statistics in college, so what would be the point of spending $86 on it? I mean, I'm willing to self-study it if the money is worth it...but...can anyone tell me the benefits of self-studying Statistics?

thanks,
ansar

I'm taking statistics online. It's kind of a dumb class. Take it if you're interested or if you think it will help you for admissions.

Is there any intrinsic value to learning statistics if you won't use it in college? Eh...

If you won't use it in college then there's no point unless the college you're going to gives elective credit for the class.

Basically I'm taking a whole bunch of APs in areas that I may not need just so that I can gain credit hours.

Ok, so I signed up for it.

Barron's good enough or someone else have another recommendation?
(My teacher has AMSCO which I could borrow since he doesn't use it...that any good?)
