self study for an easy subject.
is it worth the time i would spend?
do colleges even check the score?

Yes, colleges do check the score.
It may be worth the time, depending on the subject.
What's the subject/

statistics....

i havnt looked at the materials yet...

I say read up on it a bit, there are some formulas and calculator techniques you need to learn. If you have other APs, I don't suggest studying this intensively, but I do suggest self-studying a little bit, possibly take one or practice exams.

If you are going to do it pick up every prep book there is along with a good text book (or more than one if you want.)

And buy the released exams from Collegeboard.

is it possible to get a 4~5 with 8 hours of studying considering that i'm quick at getting math concepts.

I studied about 6 hrs of euro history and got a 4, and im terrible in history, so I think it's possible for ur case.

I am self-studying AP stat this year...lol...last minute cramming...

I do think it is doable to get a 5 w / 8 hours prep, but I think it would be difficult. I have been studying off and on for the last month or so, but it's only this last week that i've really started studying enough...

You would have to know background stuff and principles.
