AP Test Schedules

I've got a little question that's been bugging me. On the schedule I got this year for AP exams, many exams that I was considering self-studying for to take next year appear to be missing (French Lang, specifically). Is my school obliged to allow me to take a test if they had no previous inclination to even so much as include it on their schedules? Or is it at the discretion of the school (it's public)?

If your school gave you a schedule that they made for AP Testing, then they probably only included tests that people signed up for. They probably didn't want to clutter the schedule up with AP tests that nobody at the school was taking. I know that my school gave out a schedule of AP testing times and dates and locations. The tests that nobody was taking weren't listed. I'm sure that if you wanted to self-study a course, your school would let you take it. I self-studied Human Geography and I tested in a room with only one other kid who had self-studied. The test-giver was one of the school conselors and she just sat at the computer and did her work. It wasn't a big deal really.

if your school wont administer the test, you have to take at another school, so you have to talk to the AP coordinator at your school to arrange this...but get to it pretty early because the deadline is around early march i think...
