AP US Government and Economics?

I’m a high school junior and planning out my schedule for next year. In my three years of high school, even after obtaining 90+ grades each quarter, I haven’t made the push for AP. Is AP US Gov and Economics a hard course? Will it be hard for me to adjust to AP social studies from being in a Regents class all three years? I am currently enrolled in AP Psychology and AP Lit for next year.

I’m also a junior and am self-studying all 3 courses (Gov, Micro and Macro). I have a personal inclination toward economics since I had already studied them for Academic Decathlon and FBLA. However, I highly recommend enrolling in those since they are actually fairly interesting. It made me pretty much the only one who took the Eng Lang exam at my school that actually enjoyed reading about the judiciary and the Framer’s intentions.

They are not hard courses. However, because of this, the AP curve’s are relatively harsh to get a 5. It’s maybe ~75% for AP Gov and a bit more for the AP Econ’s. However, I do recommend that you take them out of your own benefit; if you’re going to be in it for college credit, then I would say getting a 3 or 4 is not too difficult. I will be taking the tests tomorrow and Thursday this year!
