If I am in AP US Hitory right now, would it be wise to register for a USH SATII right around the same time as my AP Test. Since I will be mega studying anyways, it seems logical, but I don't know. Are the two tests similar at all in their format, content, etc.?

I'm in APUSH right now and I think that yeah, that would be a good idea cuz most people forgot everything after they finished APUSH..and they didn't do well on the SAT II test. I'm not taking the SAT II test cuz I'm taking the exam..and I don't see a point to take the AP exam AND SAT II test.

Yes. The AP exam's multiple choice and the SAT II's multiple choice correlate quite nicely.

Some colleges require SAT II subject tests. Why not take it in a subject you are well-versed in and have studied the whole year?

Because I suck at history and I don't like it all. I'm gonna be studying everything like a month in advance just for the AP test. :(

You shouldn't take an SAT II on any subject you suck at.

But if you were to take an SAT II subject test (Like Chem, History, etc) and are taking the corresponding AP class, it makes a lot of sense to take it at the pinnacle of your knowledge of the subject.

i see your point about how its dumb to take both, but if colleges need 2 or 3 satII's and they don't care which, then I think I'll take both

btw, how long is SATII USH?

1 hour.

The same as any other SAT II subject test.

is it m/c only?

Yes .

I made a 5 on APUSH, but 690 on SAT II. I think the SAT II is much harder.
