I am currently taking Honors World History I which runs from the Fall of Rome to the enlightenment. Natural progression in the state curriculum would be to take Honors World History II next, which runs from enlightenment to present. However, we have the option of taking AP European History instead, which is what many of the best students are doing. However, I think the world of today is much less Eurocentric than it used to be, and I'm far more interested in taking Honors World History II. I want to take the Honors class and self study for the AP exam in World History. How hard do people think it would be to learn what's needed for the AP World History exam above and beyond what I'm already going to be learning in the Honors World History sequence. It seems a lot less painful than going through AP European History which is supposed to be an incredible time sync. I kind of wish I had thought of this before we started Honors World History I. I could have been doing some extra reading to get the AP material on the same subject.

You need to be able to examine the subjects before the fall of Rome. It sounds like your course is already heavily Eurocentric if it is based on that type of timeline.

Get PR and memorize all the info, you'll get a 5 for sure if you do that.
