@HvePassion yeah I will be a junior… I am thinking of retaking it in November or December along with Math 1. Most competitive colleges want 750+ right?

@Vmill7723 Well if you were looking into competitive colleges, then you shouldn’t take Math 1. SAT IIs won’t make or break an application, but if you have time, you could retake for a 750+!

Why not Math I, I was also going to take Math II is that a better choice? @HvePassion

@vmiller7723 Just take Math II, no point taking Math I (it’s known for being notoriously easy, most schools don’t even look at it).

Alright I’ll just focus on retaking world history for now then @HvePassion

@Vmiller7723 I think we really must be doppelgangers or something…I’m also applying to UPenn and going for a humanities major O.O

Damn haha UPenn is my main choice man !!

Yeah I’m doing ed for it!

Nice I’m going to do the same thing! What other subject tests did you do besides World History?

I did Math II and am going to do Lit in November!

How did you do on Math II? and good luck on Lit

750! And yeah, really scared for lit. If you’re going into humanities though, you don’t really have to do Math II.

yeah I know but I like math also not just history aha. Did you take any APs this year besides World?

@HvePassion ^^

I took AP Comp Gov (5), human geo (5), euro (5), world (5), and psych (5). It was really challenging cause I go to a school that offers only AP calc and AP physics :/

Congrats on all 5s man. So you self studied all of those? How’d you manage that I’m thinking of self studying for either human geo or comp gov.

^^ keep forgetting to tag you aha. @HvePassion

@Vmiller7723 AP courses really aren’t that hard – they are completely do-able with some prep books. Actually, I think it’s better to do them without classes because then you won’t be burdened by annoying teachers and loads of homework. Just my opinion though.

For Comparative Government, I bought Ethel Wood’s book and read it over maybe 6 or 7 times (very thoroughly). I did the review questions at the end of each section, but didn’t do any of the practice tests. The day before the test, I just looked through the FRQs on Collegeboard and tested myself. I do a lot of Model UN though, so I had some prior knowledge of the content tested. Overall, I have to say that if you give yourself 4 months and read through the Ethel Woods book, there should be zero problems.

For Human Geography, I would have to say that this is not only an easy AP, but also has one of the most forgiving curves I’ve seen. Great idea to self study for something like this – I see no point of having a class. I bought the Barron’s book, read it through maybe 2 times and did some of the review questions. Again, I didn’t do any of the practice tests (even though you really should). It was weird this year though, 60% of the MCs on the test were not covered by the Barron’s book (and they were also very weird, random questions). I’m pretty sure I bombed that section…but the FRQs were amazingly easy. Anyways, give yourself one or two months to look through a good prep book, and you should be set.

Don’t worry about these APs, you can get 5s with very little effort!

And yes, I self studied all of them. I go to a Canadian school where APs are not the norm :(

Hey,

I thought the MC was way easier than I expected, essays were fair,
DBQ was easy given the easy documents
The other 2 essays were not too hard
Got a 5!
