AP World History

for those who have called or received their scores in the mail early, what did you guys receive on this exam? were you surprised? how was the comparison between how you FELT you performed, as to what you actually got? i'm scared. i really need a 4, and i didn't really complete the last essay question.

5
Self-Study - studied about 20-30 hours total (my school didn't offer)
I aced the MC part, did pretty good on the DBQ, and BSed the Indian Ocean essay, and did alright on the nation-hood one.

woah, i havent gotten mine yet and by looking at the way people said they bsed some parts of the test makes me feel even more confident that i got a 5. the essays were like too easy but i kinda messed up in the MC part. well not really, it was easy but i think i erased some answers that were right and left them blank. :P lol

What's harder AP World or APUSH?

When I did AP World last year, I felt really bad about the test :P I did fine on the MC, but for the free-response... I only half knew what I was talking about most of the time and just tried to throw in facts I vaguely remembered and most likely made up.

I ended up with a 5 though. My conclusion is that most people do so bad on this test that if your essays make logical sense and have semi-accurate information, you will do well.

I got a 4, and im glad since i can still get credit, and also b/c i almost completely messed up the essay section. My DBQ score was probably a 2-3, my India Ocean essay actually was surprisingly decent, but my comparison was overall bad since I had no clue what nation building in LA was like in the 19th century.

However, my SAT II was a 770 in history, so is it bad i got a 4?

I got a 5. I thought the MC went well, way better than I could have expected. The DBQ went well, I expect I got full credit and maybe extended core. The other two essays did not go well. I made generalizations and random facts that probably weren't right, so unless the grader bought it, I probably got no more than a combined 8 points for those two. I did not prepare beyond glancing at the prep book (can't even remember which on I have) and learning how to write the essays. I didn't really learn anything in class either. So, who knows....

I got a 5 and a 770 on SATII. On AP the MC was ridiculously easy and I aced the DBQ. I thought I did pretty decent on both FRQs. The SATII I was sure I got an 800...I don't know what happened =/

Thanks everyone for your input. Hopefully that 4 is feasible for me.

@Metal: APUSH is definitely harder than World.

got a 4. to be honest i crammed everything the last night and the morning of the exam, but i still managed to do okay.

I didn't do anything for anything all year in the class and got a 3, do I win?

I thought I bombed the AP World exam this year. I felt okay about the MC, great about the DBQ, but I completely BSed the CC and COT. I thought I got a 2.

My actual score: 4

This curve must be graceful this year.

^^^^i agree, i skipped the change over time essay because i ran out of time (DBQ was 4 pages lol) and I made a 4.

lol got that 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ridiculous.

how did everyone else do?

Congrats dude! Glad to hear it!

I did the exact same thing as MC610. I also got a four :D
Super happy!!

I got a 5 and was excited. I expected maybe a 3 or 4 walking out. My multiple choice killed me on practice tests; I was getting like 50-60%s.

I was confident on the multiple choice, and I really knew what I was talking about on the DBQ and FRQs. I wrote around 5 pages for the DBQ and 4 pages each for the FRQs. No, my handwriting is not large at all. I just loved writing the essays. I actually wished there was more time.

It's the only test that I didn't know anything about. Guessed on MC. Wrote ALOT for the essays. :]
Took it online. Obviously not the right way to go for me.
Atleast hopefully it'll be the only 3 on my record. :]

Got a 5, thought I did well on the DBQ, but only mediocre on the other sections walking out of the test. I expected a 4, so I'm happy =p
