Does anyone know anything about Strathmore Regency? Atrium Court?
We're thinking about one of these next year.

From just asking around, it's ****ing expensive.

Hah, yeah they're nice but way expensive. If you don't want a hassle finding a place then sure go for it. If you really want an awesome place that's reasonably price, I'd steer clear of the large complexes and take a walk between feb-may at those smaller duplexes, it may leave some uncertainty, but you'll find a better place. Atrium/Regency/Midvale Luxury etc. will always have some room, so you can use those as safety options. Keep in mind that the 400 block will be the most expensive, you'll get cheaper of you look at 500 Kelton/Midvale and the 600 block.

whatever happens, just don't live in 512 veteran -- "the love boat" as some call it -- i have no idea why. it's a purplish-gray building. manager was NEVER there. took about a month to fix our toilet -_-; had us slide our checks under a glass door... hardly secure. and, um generally, phone numbers never worked and she was hardly available and you had to take your chances . . . i had to talk to her about a sublet contract or something like that and well i got lucky one day when i ran down to her office just as she was leaving. in any case, it was a nightmare.

i've heard similar things about atrium court's manager...
which is why I was wondering.

what smaller duplexes are you referring to?

Walk down Ophir from landfair, or down midvale past the 500 block & the 600 block of kelton. Glenrock even - smaller unit counts so you get a bit more attention. Although, if you can snag a place with a balcony on landfair... you're set.

Atrium has improved though since they got the manager two years ago - before there was no one there and it was impossible to get anything done.

midvale plaza is great. thats where i stay right now and i intend on living there next year. its about 650 per person they change the carpet and repaint the walls every year.

Some of the cooler apartments have huge waiting lists that start in DEC/JAN.

are you living in single or double or triple in midvale plaza?

That's most likely a double in a 2BD apartment. As for freedom funds - it really depends, waiting lists don't really matter if you keep calling in to the manager and maintain your interest, and some of the really awesome spots are not those big complexes and therefore don't have waiting lists. By the way, I live in one of Westwood Apartment's four complexes.

umm yea midvale plaza is really big. there is actually a midvale plaza I and II, with one of those about the size of courtside...in terms of rooms and stuff. i live in a one bedroom apt but there are 3 ppl total. i'll be looking for a 2br apt next year so i'll be needing some roomies. right now i already got one in mind. so if ur interested, holla at me. cough cough, tommy.

yeah i think i need to start to look for roommates and apartment too, jack aim me sometime about it... anyone know anything much about the palazzo in westwood and any apartments near south campus, like by ralphs area?

palazzo is frickin expensive: Palazzo Westwood Village Apartments For Rent in Los Angeles, California - Apartment Rental and Community Details - ForRent.com

i have two friends who live in tiverton court and seem to like it, it's about $750/month.

You could try stuff around Tiverton, you'll probably have to plan some time to just walk around. There's El Greco, and a few other places.

I am also looking for an apartment. PM me if anyone is looking for a roommate for next year.

What's are the options for a single, preferable South of Wilshire? And what's the range of cost?

I'll ask my friend who lives S.of Wilshire, i mean, as far as singles go (bachelors/1 bdroom etc) I feel like there are always plenty of those around.

how much is the rent at jefferson court? from everyone i heard it sounded expensive but they are only showing $1k rent for 2 bedrooms on their site....

I believe it's 950 without parking and 1000 with parking. It's realllllllly nice though, haha.

666 posts @_@

did they divide the rent between 4 person or something? otherwise 4 people at a 2 br apt with 1k rent=250 per person? yeah right...
