App Status Not Complete

Dartmouth finally updated my application status on February 15th. Even though I had submitted everything in mid-December, I was just notified that my counselor recommendation was missing. This happened at one of the other schools I applied to, so I'm guessing it just wasn't put into the envelope. My counselor finally sent in the letter on the 20th through email. The application status is still not complete though.

I've called Dartmouth twice now, most recently earlier today. The woman I spoke to even checked my file, but the rec definitely isn't in. She said that they are still processing material though and to check back in a few days. I know the rec was emailed to the right address, so it had to have gotten there...

Is anyone else in this situation? I'm just worried.

^Should have included a self addressed stamped post-card with the mailing, like they recommend for the peer eval., so that you know when it has been rec’d. Give it to Monday, and ask your counselor to follow-up with a phone call to them - do you attend a public high school? (If your school ranks students, sometimes the mid-year doesn’t go out until the ranks are established and finalized, one more detail to include on the MYR.)
If so, the counselor works for your city / town / taxpayer - you. They are obliged to follow-up, and it also takes away from you being perceived as a slacker, if they are the one dropping their rec., on your behalf, in the mail. If you are at a private school be nice, but direct. Good Luck, Mr. VC
