Appartments vs Residences

Hi,

Well as you may have guessed I have been accepted at USC and well.......HUUURRRAAAYYY

Anyway, I now have to chose between Housing Options and well I am "undecided".

Although I was first leaning towards appartments (make my own scrambled eggs and bacon....yummy) I am really interested by the cinema floor, so I have to start thinking about residences lol.

My question is for the New residential College or whatever Residence: What exactly are community bathrooms? This might seem like a stupid question to you guys but I was just wondering whether it meant like one big shower room or individual showers.

BTW, is anybody actually residing in the Cinema Floor? Is it really cool and fun or just "another dorm"?

^ at this point you are not likely to get your first choice... just warning you btw.

Individual showers, most definitely!

Hey twister we are in the exact same position. I am an undecided because I got waitlisted from CNTV but attending anyway. Cinema Floor was my first choice and my second choices were all apartments and pardee......I just prefer apartments, except for the CF, which sounds awesome. Anyway, you should send your application ASAP.

OH! and another thing. Transfers from inside the university can apply to Production in the spring so you will not have to wait that long.

Oh ok that's great I thought production was summer only so that's really good news! Anyway yeah Cinema Floor does sound pretty cool....otherwise I guess apartments. Thnx for the info guys

I originally wanted to stay in an apartment for the private bath and kitchen, but I changed my mind after reading some of the threads here. A lot of people have said that living in dorms is a great college experience, while living in apartments is more secluded and less social.

^ that was what made me put new/north as my first choices. I want to be in a social dorm...

Live in a dorm your first year; it's probably the only chance you'll get to live in one. Then you can live in an apartment after that. That's what I'm doing. I'll be a sophomore next year, so I've done my year in the dorms, and eaten the bad food. Next year I'll be living in an apartment, which I look forward to, but I'll have had the dorm experience; it was good for me.

yeah you are probably right... It's the best way to actually get to meet people anyway. Just hope I can get into the cinema floor although it is probably too late.

Yeah, I consider myself fairly introverted, but I chose to stay in the dorms to help me step out of my comfort bubble and meet people. It's been a really great experience, so I highly recommend you stay in a dorm even if the concept of a shared bathroom scares you (it really isn't that bad).

Like jessetfan, I'll be a sophomore too living in an apartment next year.

Well I'm sending the Housing form today even though it's late I know

1 New
2 New
3 Birnkrant
4 Birnkrant
5 Radisson

So afterall no apartments thabks for your help guys
