Cinema Floor Experience?

Anyone up here actually live on the cinema floor or know some info about it. I checked the previous posts and their was only some scattered info. I'm thinking about living up here even though im not a cinema major because its still in new, I like watching movies with friends usually late like after a party, and it seems like it would be pretty fun. My only thing is how New/Northish is it, by which I mean how much partying etc. I don't want to get away from the partying at all, I just like the idea of a cinema floor, but if its less social and "intense" then I may just forget about it. Anyone?

anyone have any info on this?

Im interested as well? Is it a harder floor to get?

Cinema floor is AWESOME. I thought I would hate the dorm experience, but I truly loved it because I'm on Cinema Floor.
The RAs get a projector for weekly movie nights in the Lounge that students can borrow for their own movie nights or video game parties.
We get notices of cinema goings-on around LA that get forwarded to our RAs, and occasionally free movie promo items, especially from Focus Features releases because they like us.
The murals are cool (they should be on the girls' side '08-'09 year) and in the hallway you can start talking cinema and easily get wrapped into a hot conversation.
The guys this year all requested the cinema floor, so I don't know if people who wanted it didn't get it, but there are a lot of girls who didn't request it and got placed here, so for girls it's easy to get if you get into New.
Great chance to meet and get to know not only cinema majors, but passionate movie lovers and people who are just plain passionate about whatever they do.

Cinema Floor is also the sane floor of New/North. Far less partyers, and the partying rarely goes on here at large-scale. When the drunk people walk by at around 2 AM, they are mildly entertaining to observe, but relatively harmless even if you have your door open and are inside.
Nonetheless, totally a social floor. Great fun. For girls and guys.

Downsides? The staircases are gross because it's New/North, and there's no elevator to the 3rd floor. But you learn to ignore it when there's random food, spilled soda, or a cooler with a dead fish in it in the stairway.

I applied to the Cinema foor. I hope I get in becasue it sounds awesome!
