Appeal Spring Admit for Fall?

My GPA was a little low (3.74uw, 4.26w) but my SATI/II were pretty high (2250, 800/730) so I was prob. offered spring b/c of low GPA.

This semester I earned straight A's in 5 AP classes & a College course, so my GPA went up to 3.80uw & 4.43w. Also, I scored a lot higher on Math in another sitting so I actually have a 2330 composite.

If I mention these things, is it possibly in any way I would get bumped up to fall?

Anyone...is it even POSSIBLE?

does anyone know?

Live with it or move on. Simple as that. Sounds harsh, but this is reality. If you can't handle this, then attend elsewhere.

im in the same situation and i would move on if I HADN'T BEEN REJECTED ALMOST EVERYWHERE ELSE. most depressing week of my life. i was so happy after seeing "congratulations" and "admitted" on the berkeley site that it took me until the next day (when my friend asked if i was admitted for spring) that i read the fine print (which was only fine print in my excitement). im appealing and i wish you luck with it too.

It isn't fine print. It says right on the top Spring 2007.

You got into Spring for a reason, there is no use appealing it. I too was admitted for Spring. Keep in mind you were admitted to the #1 public university in the nation.

Once I researched fpf more, i realized that it sounds better than normal berkeley, heh. No classes more than 75 people, most GE's offered, etc.

fromwhenceyoucame said in their excitement it was fine print, as in they were so excited they missed that part assuming they were in for the fall.

"(which was only fine print in my excitement)"
"It isn't fine print."

...i thought my critical reading score was high for a spring admit.

In 10 years you wont remember if you were a sping or fall admit.

It's not the end of the world to be admitted for spring. You can still live on campus and take part in virtually all of the current student activities. Some campus jobs (such as my own) are only available to students who are UCB students (not UCB extension), but I doubt that concerns you.

Just be patient. You can audit UCB classes if that's what you really want. The UCB extension is right next to campus.

And none of us current students can tell if you're a spring admit unless you tell us.

do classes taken through the freshman fall extension count towards degree requirements or general ed requirements for graduation at all?

As far as I know, they do.

sorry if this is stupid, but what does "auditing classes" mean?

LOL. Rather blunt, I'd say.

A few of my friends who got in Spring don't seem to care that much.

Masha, the credits earned count towards your degree.

fromwhenceyoucame, I read what you said, but Sping 2007 is in bold and is in the first sentance. Would make sense to read the page.

fromwhenceyoucame..

i missed the "fine print" too. hahahaha. i just saw the Congratulations. and then I looked back at it and was like, wait. SPRING?

Where is the FPF program located?

Right next to unit 2 ehrman building. I miss the 2 min walks to class.

Get over it, you got into CAL...

"spring" was the first word i saw :(
