I was recently denied from lmu, and it sent in my appeal how long do I wait? What s the difference between denied and deferred? I applied as a film and production major but now I think I should change my major. I just really want to go to lmu. How does the appeal process work?

Not sure how long appeal takes but I believe deferred means your application (If early action) is sent to the regular admissions pool of applicants. If you really love film, than I recommend you stay in that major instead of changing it just so you can go to a specific school.

My S accepted at LMU business and communications. however, he is on a blog with LMU 2018 students and so so many seem to be film (or related) majors/interests. They may purely have too many people wanting to do that there (and perhaps equal or exceed your grades??–also they are looking for out-of-state students, just as a lot of California colleges are). Have you applied to Chapman? We toured there, seemed really good, and has a great film, etc. program, just as good as LMU, as lots of “Hollywood” money going there to develop things. >:) Sorry, I don’t know why all these icons are coming up!

Where can I find the LMU 2018 blog? Thanks!

Facebook search to the group Loyola Marymount 2018 and click to become a member. You don’t necessarily have to be an admitted student.

Have you heard from the appeal board yet?
