OKay, so I got into College of Education and Human Resources, but I rather be in CLA. We have until May 1 to make our final decision, so let's say I retake the SAT on March 10 and get a significantly higher score would you think they would review my application again? Do you think they would consider me for CLA??? I know some colleges accept letters of appeal, but do you think the University of Minnesota does too??? Is it worth the shot?

I’m unaware of any such procedure at the University of Minnesota although that does not mean that it doesn’t exist. I kinda doubt they would consider March SAT scores. The other possibility is to start in CEHD and then transfer into CLA.

I don’t think they do an appeal like you’re talking about, but I would contact them by phone (or email). Like UMTYMP said, probably better to transfer into CLA from CEHD if you do well enough your first semester. What is your intended major?

I think you should just go through CEHD for a year or something and transfer… just keep your grades up.
