<p>So I sent in my appeal to UC San Diego about two days ago. I was wondering if I am supposed to call them as well to see where I fell short on my application? I heard that is supposed to slightly increase your chances.</p>

<p>I tried to call and do this before I even wrote my appeal. The admissions officer I spoke to was very cold and actually told me they don’t assign points to applicants (I’m pretty sure they do, maybe not this year though). I asked if she would go through my application with me and why I didn’t make it and she gave me a very generic “not enough spots” answer.</p>
