Appealing BU's decision

So this is my situation:
I attend one of this nations best high schools.its been ranked among the top twenty.it is highly competitive, kids get into harvard, princeton, nyu, cornell, yale, etc
I have a 3.58 gpa, head captain of varsity volleyball team, founder of Classical Film club, millions of extracurriculars, horrible sat score-1690 but have a rigorous course load, all APs and honors for four years
My top school- Boston University
Pretty much everyone in my class applied to BU, most got in, I didnt
My boyfriend got in- he attends one of this country's worst high schools- same exact SAT score, a much lower gpa, no extra curriculars, nothing
I appealed the decision- what are my chances & what are my chances of getting in if i transfer for spring semester or sophomore year. for now i am enrolled at Rutgers University

Omg. I have the same stats as you:

3.56 GPA and 1690 SAT. I didn’t get in either! I was so mad. :frowning: If you check my posts from before you’ll see how ****ed off and disappointed I was. Let me know how your appeal went. I didn’t bother with an appeal.

If you are going to appeal, you have to send in like an award you recieved or something. Something to change their minds. As for transferring, just kick ass at Rutgers. A high GPA will get you in.

to be fair, a 1690 is pretty low and a 3.58 isn’t incredibly high. you say you go to a prestigious high school, so a low SAT score is definitely a flag. and i don’t think you should talk about your decision in context of others - especially when appealing.

(and they’re a large university, they probably won’t consider appeals)
