Appealing to Davis

Do you guys think finance is a valid reason to appeal to a college? My mom makes a very small amount of money, and I was wondering if I could milk this to maybe get into UCD.

And yeah, UCD is a lot closer to my home than UCSB (the school I'll be going to if my UCD doesn't pan out). Also, I'm getting a letter of recommendation from my teacher of three years, so that should help out.

that almost sounds like
"i'm poor, so you should let me into your college. it doesn't matter if i'm not qualified, i'm disadvantaged."

yea i don't think that's going to fly

concentrate more on your student resume rather than your background.

Well, I read on here the most appeals that get granted are the financial ones..

I need to BUMP this.

Well... it depends, did u applicant for ELC? If so then i am not sure an appeal would work, and i kinda agree with igivein, UCD isn gonna grant u admission because u are just now going to let them now of your financial situation. You shouldv'e focused on that issue when applying rather than using it as a secondary crutch now.

If I mention that I'm a first-gen university attender does that count as an appeal?
