<p>Can anyone give me a little more information about appealing to the school? I was denied and put on the wait list, but I contacted the admissions department and they told me that they've had a wait list for two years and haven't been able to offer admission to anyone so far. So I'm definitely not counting on that. </p>
<p>I'm completely happy with my second choice, but I still would like to be able to say that I tried everything before I get completely rejected.</p>
<p>How might one go about appealing and what are the chances that they'll take me seriously and let me in? ;) </p>

<p>I don't think you can appeal to SDSU. I know the Cal Poly doesn't want appeals so I would guess SDSU is in the same boat. Also, appealing is only to present new information to your application, and since CSU's are all numbers, it is doubtful that you have something compelling that you forget to put in your app. Generally, good senior grades dont mean much.</p>
<p>For SDSU... No its not worth appealing... its too crowded at that school anyways with all the compact for success students who are able to get in with just a 3.0 or in some cases a 2.5 with crap ACT/SAT scores.... they really need to up the bar with that program....</p>
<p>My son was rejected from SDSU with a 3.4 GPA and 1680 SAT's. The letter stated that the average GPA applicant was 3.77 and also due to the state budget cuts they were accepting 1100 LESS students. Also, there were 61,000 applicants for 7,000 spots. It was not one of his top choices of schools but we were really surprised that he didn't get in.</p>
<p>CSU's do not do the appeal process. A school like SDSU especially has no room for appeals as it is one of the most popular universities and they already are getting shot by budget cuts.</p>
