Did anyone appeal their rejection to UW?

What are the chances of getting in on an appeal?

The chances are terrible - of that I can at least assure you. Most definitely under 50%; I think I've heard the figure was close to 30%.

I think I read here that usually they work when the student was rejected on a technical error, e.g. missing transcripts or test scores. So if you've made no improvement since the time you've been rejected, don't expect to be reconsidered for admission. I don't mean to sound harsh, but this is just what I know.

I appealed too haha, might as well try. I don't think I'm going to get approved though. I mean, the chances here are so slim, like a 1% success rate for me.

Are you gonna go to another school & transfer?

Me? If not approved, then most definitely. However, I won't be going to a community college, so I don't know how intense of an effect that will have.

I did email them and they did respond to me. I thought this paragraph (last sentence) was very important so I guess I should share with everyone who is considering transferring.

"Admission for all international students is competitive. We generally admit about 50% of the international freshman applicants and about 50% of the international transfer applicants. These statistics can vary each year depending on the overall number of applications and admission space we have available. For transfer students, the most competitive applicants are those students who are strong academically and have prepared for their requested field of study. There is also some admission priority given to transfer students completing a two year degree at a WA state community college."
