Appeals?

i was rejected from UCD. I applied as a genetics major. 3.93 UC GPA, 2 AP classes junior year. Student Ambassador, 100+hrs volunteering.
one grade in my application was incorrect. (AP Bio was marked with a B one trimester, but i got all A’s)

would an appeal to UC Davis worth it? i was thinking of doing it if im rejected from UCI as well (bioengineering major there, though)

or, would appealing and changing my major to math be better? I’ve gotten all A’s in math, 5 on the AP Calc AB test and currently in BC with A’s in the first two trimesters

bump. any ideas/info would help

I don’t think anyone here is going to know. Appeals are a bit of a crap shoot. That is new information, so it fits the criterion, but I don’t know if that would have made the difference. If you feel strongly about it, you should appeal.

alright, thanks!

if you understated your gpa accidentally, you might as well give it a shot.

Good luck.

Don’t appeal if you don’t have considerable grounds to. You have to have legitimate reasons for your appeal to be considered. This usually means extenuating circumstances, important information you left out of your application, special recent awards, and/or recent severe personal situations. A strong senior year or your strong love for a certain UC aren’t sufficient grounds for appeal.
