Turbolaser

Over 4,000 - a record high, and I will not be surprised to see the record broken a couple of more times before app numbers reach a plateau somewhere around the class of 2014 or 2015.

How about an exact number. I know its over 4,000.

We're not admissions experts here - you can call the admissions office yourself - 540-458-8710 - and they might tell you. I'll be honest, I really don't care that much about the exact number, I don't see why it makes a difference.

Dima343 I thought you knew everthing about WLU. I am doing analysis for an article. Thanks anyways.

Sounds like a good reason - call admissions and they might be able to help you. I do have a life, you know ;) I don't spend my time memorizing W&L admissions information.

Dima343, I see from the 1,517 posts that you have a life. Thanks for your reply

Turbolaser, don't be so condescending. Yes, Dima posts a lot on here, because he cares about the school and wanst prospective students to have a good source of information. It is really not hard to call the information office; they were very helpful and polite in answering the plethora of questions I had about the school.

Okay, i guess the number of intels this year is probably unknown till now. How about the last batch; how many internationals are there is the batch of you guys?

I believe there are 19 international students in the class of 2009.

Sheesh, turbolaser. Lay off. Dima spends a lot of his time on this thread, helping people like you. Why don't you stop flaming Dima (that's my job, anyway) and call them yourself. Lazy bum.

I have the information. A more accurate number is 1543 :)

I bet that number is the number of admitted students.

Yeah, there's no way that's number of applicants - be careful when you write your article.

Sounds more logical that it's the no. of accepted students, because W&L acceptance rate is historically pretty low -- usually somewhere in 30s percent range -- 1543 just happens to be about 34% of 4500. Also, the school announced to the press that there were more than 900 applicants for the George Washington Honor Scholarship for this class, and it would surprise me if 60% of all W&L applicants also applied for the GWHS.

1543 is definitely not the total number of applicants, can't be. 2006 was a record high in terms of applications to WLU, and you think it's just 1543? Has to be accepted students.

I just fell out of my chair guys.

I was responding to skirbyy regarding his post requesting me to layoff Dima343. I didn't know I was picking on him.

My comment stated that I have the information I need for my article and study. The 1543 is the number of posts that Dima343 had at 3:11 PM today. :)

Please read the whole thread and you will get the gist and reason for my reply. You guys are lucky to be attending W&L. It is a terrific school! Don't be so hard on yourselves.

lol. (10 chars)

hahahaha wow

Hahaha... nice one turbolaser... total enrollment is 1,745, guys... so that'd be one hell of a freshman class...
