Hey, was fishing for advice.

I posted on here just before Christmas about troubles I was having getting my application past the grad school admin and to the PolSci Dept at USC. I ended up sending an actual copy of my degree certificate and confirmation I had received Honours, all on top of the official Cambridge transcript I had sent as part the original application package. But they are still asking for more; they want a transcript from my Cambridge college. I've tried explaining that everything is done through the central university and that the colleges are little more than dorms. Instead, I offered to send them confirmation, in the form of a letter from my college (with a stamped crest on), indicating that I had graduated and received 1st and 2:1 Honours in both Tripos parts, and they said that would be fine. College faxed things through using the coversheets USC provided.

I emailed the graduate office to ask if they got there but I've not since had a reply (about 10 days). So I rang and the admin guy said he couldn't see anything in my file- "but that doesn't mean it's not here"(Uh?). He was very little help and didn't seem to know anything about the Oxbridge system. A friend applied to Harvard and Yale (History) around the same time and her application is being reviewed now, even though she sent exactly the same stuff as me. I'm sure if the department could just review what I submitted they would be happy enough that everything was there to be assessed.

Stressed! Should I just leave things to work their course or ring the dept who seem more willing to talk to me?
