<p>Assuming you are triple qualified with a nomination, you will now compete for a cadetship. It is difficult to predict the appointment/waitlist decision timing - it all depends on how strong your file is in relation to those you are competing with.
If you are "top dog" on your nomination slate (Principal nomination or highest Whole Candidate Score using the competitive method), you will receive an appointment. The timing depends on the method used and whether the other candidates on your slate have completed their files (competitive method). If you do not "win" an appointment through your nominating source you will be put on the waiting list and will compete against others on that list.
Most candidates hear by March, but appointments can be given out until just before R-Day.
The waiting can be the hardest part...
