I just decided to apply for Northwestern U yesterday and I have some ques about the application. (applying for ED)

So there are two parts to the application, the common application and the supplement form, right?
I can only find the common application online, is the supplement form online too, or is it paper-only?

No where on the application states how many recommendation letters or college essays should be submitted.
I am thinking about submitting 4 recommendation letters (1 counselor, 2 teachers (ap bio and ap euro) and 1 hospital volunteer supervisor). Is that too many??
Can I submit two college essays? And if I can, I couldnt find a space on the common applicaiton online for the second essay, so should I paper mail the extra essay to the school?

Lastly, which is better, paper or online application? WHich one do most people use?

i am very anxious right now. So answer to any of the question above is appreciated. Thanks!

both are online. search the 'supplements' portion of the commonapp website.

in the info session i attended yesterday, she said 2-3 (teachers) are fine.

uhh i don't think it would be perceived as a good thing. i would stick to one. (i'm assuming you're talking about the personal statement).

sidjenks, thanks so much for your reply!

When u said 2 or 3 teacher recommendation, did u mean 2 teacher recommendation and 1 counselor recommendation OR 3 teacher recommendation and 1 counselor recommendation?

And for Early Decision, should the application and recom letters be postmarked by Nov 1 or should they arrive on Nov 1 ?

I think 3 teacher recs is sort of excessive... I have 2 teacher recs and 1 supplemental rec. though. You don't want allll teacher recs probably.

is ur supplemental rec. written by the counselor or another person?

Another person. It's my research mentor, so I thought it would be valid.

right my bad. clarification - 2 teachers and 1 additional + 1 counselor.

postmarked by nov 1
